Description Players follow embedded instructions to:
  • make three different sparklers
  • take selfies with each created sparkler
  • create book of captioned selfies to submit.
  • Players build houses in a 'city'.
  • Players 'build' a hydroelectric generating station at nearby mountain.
  • Players connect 'generator' at mountain to city (*with difficulty - power drops to zero after 15 blocks).
  • Players problem solve how to get power from station to city without using additional generators along the way (*spoiler: you can't).
Course Connection Relates to fireworks, gas discharge tubes, electron orbitals, photon emission. Transformers, high-voltage transmission lines, resistive heating
